| Dye Blobs | |
The three links to the left display chromatograms together with an evaluation of the quality of the sequences they provide. The images illustrate what happens when a 'dye blob' co-electrophoreses with the sequencing products. In the upper panels, the dye blobs are indicated by the very large fluorescence signal of one of the dyes, which results in a correspondingly large decrease in the quality of base calls in that region. The lower panels present the Phred quality values as a function of position in the sequence. |
