Antibiotics:
5mg/ml Tetracycline
50mg Tetracycline, QS to 10ml with 100% anhydrous ETOH.
May need to slightly warm solution with hot water to dissolve Tetracycline. Just warm the tube enough to get into solution, also be sure not to contaminate and/or adjust the concentration with water while warming the solution.
Filter sterilize with 30ml sterile Luer Lock disposable syringe and Nalgene 0.45um filter syringe under the hood into a sterile tube. Transfer ½ ml aliquots to sterile screw cap tubes and store at –20C.
10mg/ml Kanamycin
100mg Kanamycin, QS to 10ml with sterile ddwater.
May need to slightly warm solution with hot water to dissolve Tetracycline. Just warm the tube enough to get into solution, also be sure not to contaminate and/or adjust the concentration with water while warming the solution.

100mg/ml Ampicillin
1G Ampicillin, QS to 10ml with sterile ddwater.
May need to slightly warm solution with hot water to dissolve Tetracycline. Just warm the tube enough to get into solution, also be sure not to contaminate and/or adjust the concentration with water while warming the solution.
Filter sterilize with 30ml sterile Luer Lock disposable syringe and Nalgene 0.45um filter syringe under the hood into a sterile tube. Transfer1.5ml aliquots to 1.5ml sterile screw cap tubes and store at –20C.
Caution: Be sure to label tubes with the correct concentration and re-label the tube box that tubes are stored in with a new label identifying antibiotic, concentration, your initials and the date prepared.
