Rhizome Libraries (RHIZ)

These two cDNA libraries were prepared from rhizomes harvested from either greenhouse-grown S. propinquum (RHIZ2) or from S. halepense (RHIZ1). Both libraries were provided by Dr. Andrew Paterson. The library prepared from S. halepense was used for the development of our wet-lab and bioinformatic pipelines. Thus, no 5' sequences were obtained, average read lengths were substantially lower, and no yield statistics are available.

RHIZ1 - S. halepense

QPSE16 LenNVE >=100 gives the number of sequences that met our criteria for submission to GenBank. Because more than one sequence was occasionally obtained from a cDNA, the number of non-replicate sequences is also provided.

The average Phred Q16 and Q20 lengths are contiguous; if sequence quality declined, but then improved again, the additional high-quality base calls are not included in these numbers.

The number and proportion unique derives from clustering of all 3' sequences from this one library.
