This view is one example of many quality control tools used to monitor progress in the wet lab.  Here we are monitoring sequencer capillary performance for 208 runs between 6 September and 13 October 2003.  Poorly performing capillaries (e.g., #4) are readily visible, as is a capillary array that is not well calibrated (note shorter read lengths at the left-hand side of the array).
